Also me: -literally shivers and jumps everytime I hear the name vincent.- I fking built up the courage to cosplay Katherine with a friend in 2018 and she said "maybe we should get a third person because we need a vincent" and I almost fking screamed but remembered that the fking protagonist is called that. Like...its so stupid tbh. I know im not a young kid in the fandom but evwrytime a vincent pg account uses my dave for their rp profile or calls my william and other williams "vincent" (specially a william design that was comissioned by me) I cant help but fking flip. I asked politely always not to do that but i always get the same response of "vincent and william is the same shit lmao why are you even mad?". The hispanic fandom uses nostalgia as an excuse to spam and force that dreadful excuse of a purpleguy down my throat to the point ive been threatened to get my account reported for disliking him? Can you believe that vincent fanboys felt threatened by the exsitance of Dave Miller and the silver eyes so much just because "vinny will fade in popularity!". People still take my anti vincent jokes in a fking vine compilation as "unjustified hatred and not constructive criticism". What did you expect? What constructive criticism can I give to a shittier and butchered version of Vincent Bishop whos presence and fanbase has chased me and the little people I used to know back in 2016 away from the community? As much as I dont associate with rebornica, they always state how much they despise their old PG but the fanbase INSISTS that disliking vincent is directly disliking and disrespecting rebs and that them not liking him "isnt true <\3".

Funny thing is, I respect it so much that I ignore it because I want people to live their lives. BUT DONT POKE ME WITH A STICK. Seriously. Dont intentionally look for posts of people talking about not sharing their content on fnaf groups due to respect to other artists affected by the drama and shove in your coments of "but dont ypu miss the good old days?" Or somwthing along the lines when the person venting was clearly never fond of rebs old au, have been affected by followers of it or are confessing why they dont like them anymore. So No. We dont miss the tumor in the community you call old nostalgic days. In fact, we spent 3 years trying to rid facebook groups from it. Rebornca's au presence fading from pole-bear fangroups, fnaf fanpages and such was not "them fading through the years" or "being replaced by william afton designs". It was a coordinnated plan by many group and fanpage admins. The little percentage of us that know english lent ourselves to explain the book to the rest so they could use this new canon to separate themselves from the rebs canon. To design their own characters without facing backlash for "not drawing vincent or any whitewashed version of him". Sure, we got harrasment and crap, but to see fnaf meme pages becoming a pseudo-support group for young artists was kind of heartwarming. Im scared to go back to the 2016-17 era. I really am.

(Ignore my venting. Its just that Ive felt a bit over protective of some younger artist friends I have that did face backlash for this. I remember this one chic that drew herself with a whitewashed vincent and would get super pissed when she saw him shipped with other characters and it was kinda funny but also super sad. The design wasnt even hers....chill m8)
